TraceEagle Privacy Policy
1. Our Position: Local-first
TraceEagle / 网络追踪鹰 is designed local-first. All network data you capture with the Software (packets, HTTPS plaintext, TLS keys, session records, etc.) is stored only on your local device. We do not upload, collect or access this data, and there is no behavioral telemetry of your captured content.
2. The Minimal Information We Collect (for Licensing and Statistics Only)
To issue licenses, prevent single-code-many-machine abuse, and understand product activity, the licensing service collects the following minimal information:
Email — provided when you claim or recover a license, used to issue license codes and to contact you.
Anonymous device fingerprint — an irreversible hash derived from hardware information such as the network interface, used to bind a license to a device and detect single-code-many-machine use; it does not let us recover your real identity or hardware details.
Operating system type — for compatibility and statistics.
Per-day de-duplicated activity record — records only that "an anonymous device was used on a given day", used to compute daily/weekly/monthly active counts (DAU/WAU/MAU); it contains no usage content.
License verification logs — contain the anonymous device fingerprint, used for troubleshooting and abuse checks, and cleaned periodically.
3. How We Use This Information
Only for: issuing and verifying license codes, activity statistics, abuse prevention and online revocation, and necessary customer support. We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to any third party.
4. You Are Responsible for the Data You Capture
For the data you capture, you are the data controller. It stays on your local device, and how it is stored, used, shared or deleted is your decision and must comply with applicable law and the TraceEagle User Agreement. Do not capture or process others' data that you are not entitled to.
5. Storage and Security
Licensing-related information is stored in our licensing service (built on Cloudflare Workers / D1). We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no transmission or storage can be guaranteed absolutely secure.
6. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share the above information externally except (a) as necessary to provide the licensing service (e.g. email delivery, cloud infrastructure), or (b) as required by law or lawfully requested by a government or judicial authority.
7. Third-Party Services
The Software's licensing and email features may rely on third-party providers (e.g. cloud hosting, email delivery). These providers process only the information necessary to provide services to us.
8. Local Storage
The Software interface stores a small amount of preferences locally (such as language, layout, last-connected address). This data is not sent to us.
9. Your Rights
By contacting us, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your email and licensing information (deleting licensing information may invalidate the related license).
10. Minors
The Software is intended for professional/technical users with appropriate capacity, not for children; we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
11. Changes to this Policy
When this Policy is updated, we will publish it in the Software and on the website. Material changes will be prominently notified.
12. Contact Us
